Engineering the New Vision The effort to restore The Bay Lights involved a substantial $11 million fundraising campaign to support the replacement and upgrade of the lighting infrastructure. Musco Lighting took the lead in the engineering and fabrication of the new system. This advanced iteration of the installation now features 48,000 LEDs, significantly more than the original, promising a more intricate and dynamic visual experience for viewers. The previous iteration of the installation utilized 25,000 LEDs and was initially conceived with a two-year operational life.
