Daktronics Expands Yankee Stadium's Visual Footprint with New LED Systems

Daktronics has completed a significant installation of new LED video boards and ribbon displays at Yankee Stadium, substantially increasing total display area and resolution for enhanced fan engagement.

Daktronics Completes Yankee Stadium LED Overhaul Daktronics announced the completion of its extensive LED display installation at Yankee Stadium on April 9, 2026 . This project introduces a dramatically expanded visual presence within the iconic venue, aimed at elevating the fan experience through larger, higher-resolution video boards and surrounding ribbon displays. Enhanced Visual Spectacle for Fans The upgrade significantly boosts the stadium's total display real estate, bringing the sum of all screens to an impressive 22,355 square feet. This vast increase in digital surface area allows for more dynamic content delivery, including live action replays, statistics, and engaging in-game entertainment. The centerpiece of this renovation is the new main video board located at centerfield, measuring a substantial 59 feet by 100 feet. Improved Resolution and Clarity Beyond sheer size, the new Daktronics systems offer a marked improvement in visual fidelity. The main video boards now feature an 8mm pixel spacing, a significant upgrade that provides 2 to 3 times the resolution of the previous installations. Complementing the main board, the stadium's ribbon modules have been upgraded to a 10mm pixel pitch, ensuring clarity and visibility of supplementary information and graphics from all seating areas. Strategic Display Placement The strategic placement and increased coverage of these new LED displays are designed to create a more immersive environment for attendees. This expansion aims to provide fans with more immediate and engaging visual information throughout their game-day experience. The project underscores the importance of advanced display technology in modern sports venues for fan interaction and operational efficiency.
