Tropicana Field Upgrades with digiLED Video Walls for 2026 MLB Season
digiLED completed a significant digital display overhaul at Tropicana Field, featuring new large-format LED video walls and a ribbon display in time for the Tampa Bay Rays' 2026 season opener.
Tropicana Field Enhances Fan Experience with digiLED Installation digiLED announced on April 6, 2026, the completion of a comprehensive digital screen upgrade at Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays. This project, timed for the start of the 2026 Major League Baseball season, introduces advanced LED video walls and a ribbon display designed to elevate the fan experience within the ballpark. The installation is particularly significant as it represents a substantial visual enhancement for attendees returning after hurricane-related repairs to the venue. A Seamless Visual Canvas for Baseball Fans The core of the upgrade involves the installation of two new large-format LED video walls, each measuring 53.31 feet wide by 36.1 feet high. When combined with a pre-existing screen, these new displays create a continuous visual canvas spanning an impressive 171.42 feet in width. This integration effectively replaces static signage with dynamic, high-resolution content, offering a more engaging visual environment for fans throughout the stadium. Enhanced Engagement and New Revenue Streams Beyond the main video walls, digiLED also implemented a new 302-foot-wide by 6-foot-high ribbon display along the MaintenX SkyDeck. This addition provides further opportunities for dynamic content delivery, including in-game statistics, replays, and sponsor messaging. The enhanced digital real estate is expected to create new avenues for fan interaction and provide additional revenue-generating opportunities for the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Premium Viewing and Advanced Technology The project also included the installation of fine-pitch COB (Chip-on-Board) LED technology in premium suite locations throughout Tropicana Field. This ensures that even in exclusive areas, fans benefit from superior image quality and clarity. The entire installation was completed in time for the Tampa Bay Rays' home opener on April 6, 2026, ensuring a revitalized visual presentation for the start of their 2026 campaign.
